I lost 2 life points because of the following things…
  • Didn't exercise
  • Didn't save money

I have no good excuse, just busy with friends and family and not following my routines. I’d heal myself, but it’s more fun to give away. I’m still positive for the month, so it’s fine if people save their fruit for those more in need.

To close out this month, I think my training run today set a new PTR for the 10k distance at 51:05. I may have done this more quickly before. But it that is true, it would not be by much!

Sean, I have a question: I have done my game Yellow Bracket for this month today (survived) – never losing my life points and already connect my 4sq link also to my HM account but why I can’t get the Yellow Bracket badge? Many thank you for your answer Sean.

Thanks Grace. When I was living in Europe, I saw William Hague negotiate a new government in the UK. Each day he was asked how the negotiations went. His statement was to the order of: If you look for problems, then you will find them. If you look for solutions then you will find them.

I keep trying to focus on solutions rather than problems.

jhiggins23 has a tip for the Go to the gym rule.

Heart.full.16 10 · 10,537 pts

A lot of people hate the gym. I am one of them. The gym is generic. The gym is suppose to be where you get exercise. I think the goal is finding some activity you like doing and doing it. I found that even when I am not in the mood to go to karate…I still find myself there. Working out and being active. I used to dread the gym. So much I would talk myself out of it. So finding an activity that I like is a win in itself. I love Kenpo which is the type of karate I am doing. It is a form of self defense, if you want to learn more check it out (www.zultimate.com).

:) funbobby99

I tried Kenpo for a little while and really liked it! I should try something like that to shake up (start?) my routine!

Yesterday I technically kept all my rules (except the one from the wheel) and I think I’ll do all right today, but I’d rather not take any chances. I lost three points from a migraine this weekend and also broke my 185 day streak writing on 750 words. If you have some spare fruit on the last day of the month, I’d be grateful for the help on the last lap.

Hey team: I just got the team registered for June—still need to deal with the handoff to another team leader, but people can go ahead and get started for June.

If you received an email invitation to the June team, PLEASE use the link in the email to sign up for the June team rather than requesting to join manually on the team page. Clicking the link in the email automagically adds you to the team, but manual requests still have to go through the normal approval process.

I’m sorry to have left you all hanging… in addition to the general craziness I’ve got going on right now, I also had a bacterial infection that knocked me out for nearly a week, AND my fifth year college reunion was this past weekend, which coincided with my dad’s 35th at the same college, in the town where my sister also lives. Should anyone wonder how this all fits together: terrible illness + family togetherness + seeing people you haven’t thought about in 5 or more years + introducing your significant other to hundreds of people = INSANITY.

Heart.full.16 10 · 10,537 pts

Well I finished this month and I am onto the next month. I still can’t believe it is June. The 6th month in the year. Half the year is over. I’ve learned a lot in these last 6 months. I live in AZ and so we are entering the hottest months (and I decided to add a running rule)! Awesome. It also means that our population is going to be cut in half. All of the snow birds are flying north for summer. Weird. At the beginning of the month I wanted to lose 2lbs, and I lost 4lbs. Not bad. I am hoping that if I add running that it will give me the kick in the pants I need. I am not taking anything away from what I have accomplished, but I really think I need a boost. Sometimes we can get into a lull and I am trying to avoid that. Next month I have less rules, but completely different rules so it is harder, but easier? Does that make sense. Anyway I wish you all the best of luck next month!

a holiday day that was so much fun with beeky and improv class and a big party. I realized at the party that I need to give myself a little more fun time, as much as I love to exercise, I would like one down day a week where I can break the rules if i want to without losing life points. i have decided that I am going to make Sunday a holiday celebration day in June where I can step outside the game on sunday without losing life points. A free day if you will.
