February's Game Wall
Recent activityMoiraIndigo had a couple thoughts.
I don’t see any posts to MeTa for March, and am considering making one.

Going without sugar is like being in an alternate universe, where nothing I normally do is applicable. Most of my regular haunts don’t make sense anymore because there’s nothing for me to buy/eat at the candy store, donut shop, ice cream parlour, etc. It’s very, Very weird.
Meowse, in the Purple Bracket, played Wednesday February, 29th for 545 points, following 93% of his 31 rules.
He
lost 2 life points for missing the following: spend 60 quality minutes with my kids every day, stop using the computer after 10pm every day.

Crap crap crap fucking day at work. Time for a new job. This one is unacceptable. It is too painful for me to be this badly undervalued and under-appreciated. I need to work somewhere that wants to hire a master craftsman, and pay me accordingly. I need a job whose highest priority is that I write the right software, quickly and with consistently high quality. Because that’s what I give a damn about. I’m officially looking to change jobs now. And that’s what I’m looking for. Anywhere in the greater Seattle area is fine, but downtown Seattle would be great and Capitol Hill would be perfect.

Hurrah! The end of another month. I am pleased. February had its challenges—but it was a whole lot better than January. No question about it! Thanks to everyone who donated fruit and points when I got low. I ended up with too much and was happy to give some of it away…then it went midnight and I couldn’t offload any more. HAPPY MARCH, BOOKLOVERS!
karalianne needs fruit, barely.
I lost 1 life point because of the following things…
I totally forgot today. This was a hard month. Going to take March really easy.

Just wanted to see if this worked this late…I tried to give you points last night but HM was being decidedly weird and about every other transaction worked—and every other transaction didn’t. :-( Testing 1-2-3…

Thanks everyone! I kept getting redirected last night when I tried to do the choosing thing, so I’m going to try again now. I might have to wait until tonight. |

Hope your March rule choosing worked out. Did the same as you and made March easier, like it was for me in January….enjoyed that more and was more successful. |
Bruise on leg fading. I’ll be at 100% for Saturday’s ride. Weather is looking good.
Up way too late due to Raspberry Pi launch and difficulties. Managed work fine but tired and snippy on the way home after community access shift. Gave Batman his meds and going to sleep as soon as I plea for fruit and choose my rules for March.
It looks like I’m going to finish on a strong note: I didn’t lose any points today for the first time in a while.
Another good day…things are looking up.
goodbye february… it’s been a weird month!
The best thing for this month was practicing the piano. I don’t think I’ve practiced this regularly since I was a teenager!

Maybe we can make music in the hotel lounge in Florida! |
Indulged in a cupcake today, but worked out on both the stationary bike and the elliptical!
Feeling wiped out tonight. Physically ok, mentally exhausted. Isn’t it the weekend yet?
Well, February wasn’t stellar, but I think there were many days when I just wouldn’t have bothered, save for the Health Month incentive. Thanks to all you posted their thoughts and feelings and for giving me fruit when I was limping along. (The fruit gifts really did keep me from giving up in the five more days or so!)
jamiec checked in with the Fox.

Hear, hear. |
I reached the end of the month having accomplished my weight loss goal. I’ve also made some major changes at home. I watch with interest if these shifts can be sustained. I will do all I can to sustain the positive decisions. Feel pretty shaky on all counts, though. Interesting.
