Finally figured out why I’m in such a funk. I’ve skipped my meds for two days! I am still not sleeping at all, and I don’t see any way to permanently fix that. Went gaming with friends, and while I was doing my best, my exhaustion and overall depression really didn’t allow me to really get in to the fun of it.

Huge downfall in mood and behavior and thoughts. Don’t know what happened, but trying to maintain control. Felt sick all day and all night at work. Just awful. giraffee had a couple thoughts.

Knew I was going to lose my social point and my meaningful work point due to cancellations and other plan-busters for this week (can’t clear bookshelves when spouse is sick and asleep in the same room) but the fried food was a complete failure of willpower.

Got a new dogsitting client. A pair of little doggies. Ok, medium. So, yay additional income. Doctor office actually was only looking at my thyroid labs, not the new stuff that had been ordered. Because they haven’t received those results. Fuck. More waiting. But maybe these new labs do have real news in them, whenever they show up.

eh. The new labs did say…something. All the doctor’s office will say is “abnormalities not associated with anemia, we want to check further.” Well, good, because I’m not worried I’m anemic. I’m worried that I have an autoimmune disease, or something worse. Today I was able to talk them into ordering the labs so I can get them drawn tomorrow and have them in my chart for next thursday’s visit. Of course, I’ll have to start checking on monday that the results actually…make it into my chart. |

Sheesh, that sounds so frustrating. Seems like you shouldn’t have to ride herd on the clinic like that, but good for you for sticking with it to find out what’s going on. Sending you good vibes that things will start going better with their office practices and even more so with your health. |
Still mostly meditating when I’m having trouble sleeping… better than nothing I suppose!
oh monday. Waited to hear back from doctor. Worked. $5 cheeseburgers in the evening. I was hungry and ate the whole thing, which was a very nice from how things have been the past few months.

Last day of the month, I’m below my goal weight for the month, and I have one more day to eat lightly and exercise heavily in order to make my goal. I’m feeling pretty good about that. And I do seem to be able to lose 6 pounds per month without any great deprivation or excessive time devoted to exercise.
Admittedly, it’s not the 30 pounds per month I’ve lost in the past when I was spending my full time every day on weight loss. And I miss that — I miss being able to work out for three hours a day, I miss watching the pounds melt away like magic. But that’s not practical with my current life, and six pounds per month every month still gets me where I’m going.
I do need to add more resistance training into my life, though. I’m not maintaining and building muscle mass like I need to be.
But I’m losing the weight, and I will keep losing it until I’m down to 220. So. Patience and time.
I think I may set my goal weight for next month a little lower, though. See if I can ramp up the exercise some and get better results.
It is a bit disconcerting because I was doing great before the hurricane.
