Sterlingsu is a Level 17 Health Monther

Sterlingsu is fruit-hungry.
I lost 3 life points because of the following things…
Injured my back last week trying not to fall on the ice. Still not feeling up to any major activity, so yeah, besides walking around on campus/catching my bus, I didn’t get any exercise. (The flossing is a lousy excuse: I forgot to floss before I painted my fingernails, and I’m out of floss heads for my floss stick.) I bought a new water bottle to help with the water issues, so hopefully next week this won’t be a problem. Help?
Sterlingsu, in the Orange Bracket, played Sunday February, 10th for 131 points, following 100% of her 8 rules.
She
didn't lose any life points and therefore got 1 piece of fruit for the hard work.
Her public review of the day was…
I am nothing, if not a procrastinatrix. Mr. Scott helped me mostly finish my law case critique (you know, the one that was assigned at the beginning of the quarter, five weeks ago). My back decided to remind me that I’d nearly fallen on the ice a few days previously, so moving around was unfun. Went to the college library to return a movie Scott checked out and to get my case printout. Came home with twenty books on Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day. Can’t wait to celebrate some holidays in my classroom. (Am hoping we can make fried rice in the classroom for cooking time.)
Sterlingsu, in the Orange Bracket, played Saturday February, 9th for 122 points, following 100% of her 8 rules.

Only took me nine days to start the month. Oops. That’s how the whole month has been, really. Went to the library to work on homework and study for exams that I should have taken on Friday, except that I was sick. Yay? Found a legal case I can use for the big major project due Monday. Now to just get it done. laughs Sterlingsu needs fruit, badly.
Um. Yeah. I seem to forget to keep track of everything else when school starts to take my attention. Help?

thank you so much!! |
Got up early so I could take my statistics test and drop off the hard copy of the assignment I forgot to do for Thursday. Then I came home intending to take a nap before I had to go to work, but Mr. Scott convinced me to go work out with him at the gym instead.
Worked out on one of the bikes that shows you the pretty scenery while you pedal. Was distracted by the TLC show “I didn’t know I was pregnant”. We biked for a half hour and then walked the track for half an hour. (I ran for a little while, because it felt good to work out some of the kinks from pedaling. Plus, I haven’t gotten a good run in my five fingers in a long time and I was aching to give them a good workout. Just a couple of laps, but pretty speedy, because I could.)
Fridays are play pool days at work, where the kids get to go swimming in the play pool. I got soaking wet at the pool trying to enforce the rules, so I had to break into my spare clothing stash, which meant I finished out the day wearing a pair of bright yellow and orange tie-dyed pants, a black tee shirt and my green “Mr. Rodgers” cardigan. The kids thought it was super funny that I had to change clothes (and that I wasn’t in my Y t-shirt like I’m supposed to be.)
Went to dinner with Mr. Scott and then ran errands which took way longer than anticipated and found me getting back to Spokane after he got off of work (they released him early.) Oops.
(Hi. I’m back. Hopefully I can stay back. I kind of forgot I had a computer for over a week and didn’t make it to health month. Forgot about my rules, too. Will have to step it up the rest of the month. I don’t do very well with school and my health. sigh)

Feel better, soon, Sterlingsu. |
Beginning to get sick again. Don’t really feel like the post-finals let down ever really went away. Not awesome. I like feeling awesome. Lots of tea with honey and lemon in my future. Was so exhausted after play practice that my director wondered if she’d see me on Wednesday. (She didn’t.)

I took today off from my commitments, mainlined tea, honey and elderberry extract as well as toast and jam, because I view toast and jam as medicinal. I had a doctor’s appointment today for an unrelated follow-up and she said my lungs are fine, so at least there’s that. Took a four hour nap and only got up because I needed to do some homework that’s due tomorrow. |

First day of classes. Homework the first day. AWESOME. Have a grad student teaching my statistics class, which should be fine. Am feeling left out in my therapeutic recreation class because most of the seniors go right to another class with the same prof in the same class, but because I’m not graduating with them, I’m off to stats.
Had a pretty good day with the kids, which is always a win.

it’s hard when you feel alone at school. You will settle in & do well though, I’m sure. Good luck |

Oh how I hated Statistics both in Graduate school and as an undergraduate. |
Spent the day working on the musical cue cards for the play we’re putting on this year: Peter Pan. Discovered that Peter has so many solos that we needed extra markers in his color. (We did a song and a half and his Sharpie ran out. Oops.) Got all of act one written up and color coded (minus Peter) and all the cards (100 22×28 poster board) lined so we’re ready to finish the rest of the cards next week.
Went to a women’s basketball game with the specialized recreation group. Had a lot of fun. The teams were evenly matched and the game was really close until the last five minutes. (We eventually lost. :( ) Two of our guys got to compete in one of the halftime games, which was fun. I also managed to drop off my (late, oops) library books and pick up the books I needed for this quarter from the bookstore.
After the game I lounged for a bit. Mr. Scott was too tired to go out for dinner (and I thought that meant too tired to GO OUT, when that really meant TOO TIRED TO DRIVE, oops), so I made steak and garlic-butter shrimp at home. Attacked some of the dishes and did the laundry. Worked on a few chapters in my legal book while the laundry was drying.
Stayed up too late playing video games and forgot to write in my journal, AGAIN. sigh Still re-adjusting to the new rules.

Heal her with 2 fruit
Thanks!!
Hope your back is healing!
I’m at the point where I need to go in and find out the extent of the strain. I’ll wake up in horrible pain but once I get moving it seems to be OK. Sit for any length of time and all bets are off. I’m actually OK today after walking around town,5.5 miles over several hours, so it seems to be getting better. I just want it all better RIGHT NOW
. Thanks for the kind words. They help when I can’t get out of bed. ;)
Well I’m glad to hear that walking is at least working well for you~I bet that will help you heal. Nice work! I seem to remember you are alregic to medication or something? I hope you have some good distractions for coping with the pain. SOunds hard. Sending you a healing hug Sterling ((((hug))))
