amicamentis had a couple thoughts.
Hello November. You will be a tough month to get through. Here goes!
amicamentis, in the Yellow Bracket, played Thursday April, 14th for 80 points, following 100% of their 3 rules.
They
didn't lose any life points and therefore got 1 piece of fruit for the hard work.
Their public review of the day was…
I walked like a fiend all around a big park, and had a vitamin, and had no added sugar although it would have been really nice around 2:00 PM.
amicamentis, in the Yellow Bracket, played Wednesday April, 13th for 62 points, following 100% of their 3 rules.
They
didn't lose any life points and therefore got 1 piece of fruit for the hard work.
Their public review of the day was…
I feel super unhealthy as I spent a significant portion of yesterday night at a bar… but I followed all three rules, hooray!
amicamentis needs fruit, barely.
I lost 1 life point because of the following things…
It was a blueberry cheesecake tart.
headnsouth
sent 1 piece of fruit with this note:
Sorry, I clicked on “give 2 fruit” and didn’t see the dropdown box, here’s the second one!

Ha! You guys are awesome ;) |
I resisted the cheesecake-stuffed strawberries, did Zumba for an hour, and took the vitamin. Could I BE any more on track?!?!

You do Zumba? What’s it like? I have seen a strangely mesmerizing and very long infomercial for it in a bagel shop. It seemed like it either might not exist outside infomercial-land, or that it might be a cult. I was fascinated. |

I do Zumba at a local art gallery – the owner is also a Zumba instructor. They’re really small classes and kind of like aerobics + dancing combined. It’s an hour long and she plays both salsa-esque songs and popular songs (like Taio Cruz stuff) and we follow a set of steps for each one so it’s the same routine each time. It’s the only kind of continued exercise that doesn’t make me want to kill the person responsible. |

Why are you guys talking about Zumba!? For god’s sake, did you miss the “cheesecake-stuffed strawberries” part? OMG, I had no idea those things even existed. Yum! [This was Johnny’s last post on Health Month. He was later found being lifted out of his house with a crane.] |

Hahaha, I didn’t even look at the strawberries. One glance and my resolved would have melted away. |

For players that did Health Month in March – did you keep the same resolutions? Did they get any easier with time, or did you notice that you slacked off a bit?

Two of my three are different, because I discovered limiting things is much harder for me than adding things. I kept my exercise rule, which is getting easier as it becomes more of a habit. I ditched my soda rule, but I think next month I’ll try to limit soda by adding a must-drink-water rule. |

The three rules I had in March I carried over to April—two of them in the exact same form, and one I increased from two days a week to three. For me they got easier with time…it was like once I started doing them, I realized they weren’t really that hard to do. The thought of doing them before I had started was more burdensome than actually doing them was. |

I kept 2 rules from March and carried them over and just made them a wee bit harder. I found they are easier in April. I think having them be there two months in a row made me just much more aware of them so they are true healthy habits now. The two rules in March I left behind I still do but believe they have become ingrained and I really don’t even think about them before I do them now (taking medication and vitamin). |

I played in Feb and March, and each month I’ve kept the previous rules but tweaked them. One or two I made easier (because I sucked at them); one or two I made harder. If you wait to set up the next month’s game, the wizard will suggest adjustments based on your past behaviour. |
Me and the SO walked to the library and back, and I totally resisted the free tempting cake at work. Nerve wracking!

Congrats! The receptionist at my office always has candy at her desk and I haven’t had ANY since I Healthmonth because I didn’t want to click the button. :D |

Good job (both of you). I have yet to exercise that level of control, but at least I feel guilty when I indulge. It’s a start. |

If you can believe it, a completely different person brought in cheesecake-stuffed strawberries. What is WRONG with people?!?! ;) |
I dragged my ass to a 60 minute aerobics class, ate no extra sugar, and took the multivitamin. April game is so on!

Kickass! Nice one. |
I begrudgingly stuck to my no-added-sugar rule yesterday and am surprised how proud I am of myself today!
